Activate Cloud Notify and set up a data source
This article assumes you've already activated Cloud Notify (or started the 30 day free trial) and have set up a data source (including variables). View our corresponding guides if you haven't yet.The second step in Cloud Notify is to set up alarms. Alarms describe what trigger event should be notified and to whom, based on priority. Alarms include an on-delay option and you can personalize the event message.
- Add IXrouter offline/online alarms
- Add alarms (new, import)
- Set alarm receivers
- Manage alarms (export, duplicate, remove)
Add IXrouter offline/online alarms
If the IXrouter isn't connected, you can't be alerted about machine events. You can add alarms that notify you when the IXrouter itself has been offline for at least 1 hour or comes back online. For example, when the IXrouter has been offline for the past couple of days because the data on your SIM card ran out. Generally you'll only notice these kind of problems yourself long after they have happened. Using these alarms you'll be notified instead.
Poor connection?
If the IXrouter has a poor connection, have a look at our failover feature. The following steps explain how you can add these connection alarms.
- Go to [Devices] in the main menu
